November 10, 2011 - Ryan M. Gailey joins firm as Associate Attorney

Greg Tuite and Associates is proud to announce that Ryan M. Gailey has joined the firm as an associate attorney. He received his B.A. from Miami University (OH) in 2002, and his J.D. degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2010.  He is a member locally of the WInnebago County Bar Association, the Winnebago County Young Lawyer's Organization, and the Illinois State Bar Association.  His areas of practice include worker's compensation and social security disability.  He also serves as an Infantry Officer in the Army National Guard, with over 6 years of time in service.

Attorney Gailey also continues the family tradition of the Tuite law firm. As the son-in-law of Attorney Greg Tuite, Ryan begins a third generation of the Tuite family to practice law in Rockford. Attorney Gerald Tuite started the firm in 1958.

November 4, 2011 - Tuite speaks at ITLA Seminar

Attorney Greg Tuite recently spoke to approximately 150 members of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association at the organization's annual "Workers' Compensation Seminar" held on November 5, 2011 in Oak Brook Hills. Attorney Tuite discussed the methods of obtaining client medical records under the Illinois Workers Compensation Act and the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure. In addition, Tuite discussed the current controversy surrounding the amounts charged by medical providers to provide copies to attorneys in light of the Clayton and Holtkamp decisions. He outlined methods to obtain records at the least cost to the client in order to pursue the client's claim in court.

April 28, 2009 F-52 stepped in an uncovered curb drain while walking to the parking lot of the Rockford Clock Tower and fell, suffering a fractured wrist (unoperated). She subsequently developed reflex sympathetic dystrophy and carpal tunnel syndrome which required surgery ($50,275 medl. expense, no LT claimed).
