WHO WE ARE:
The firm of Greg Tuite & Associates has its roots going back to 1958. At that time, Attorney Gerald F. Tuite began his practice in the Rockford area. Jerry Tuite was one of the first lawyers to practice exclusively representing injured workers in the field of workers’ compensation. The firm also handled labor law issues for a number of local unions, including building trades, machinists, and autoworkers.
Greg Tuite joined his father in the practice of law in 1980. While he initially handled a variety of cases involving both civil and criminal law, he eventually concentrated his practice to the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury and social security disability claims. He has been recognized by his peers as a “Leading Lawyer” and a “Super Lawyer” in the field of workers’ compensation.
In 1997, Gerald Tuite became “of counsel” and the firm began doing business under the name of Greg Tuite and Associates. Our practice is limited to representing the injured individual in workers’ compensation and personal injury claims. We also represent individuals who are seeking Social Security Disability or SSI benefits from the Social Security Administration.
WHAT WE DO:
We handle workers’ compensation claims throughout Northern Illinois. We cover cases that are heard in Rockford, Woodstock, DeKalb, Rock Falls, Geneva, Waukegan, Ottawa and Chicago.
We handle Social Security Disability Claims in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin and appear at hearing sites in Rockford, Oak Brook, Evanston, and Peru, Illinois, as well as Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Other hearing sites throughout the Midwest can be served by special arrangement.
We also handle personal injury claims (automobile accidents, injuries, etc.) in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
We believe that every case should be handled on its own merits and each client be treated as an individual instead of just “another file”. The firm philosophy goes back to when Jerry Tuite started practicing law. Every case is handled as if it will go to trial. If the case does go to trial, the attorney is prepared. This philosophy leads to respect from judges, lawyers and insurance companies. We don’t believe in “assembly line” justice.
In addition, each client is assigned his or her own case manager who is there to assist the client. That way you file remains in the hands of one attorney and one case manager. They are here to answer your questions. Our firm understands the frustration of dealing with insurance companies or the federal government.
